The Kunst-Messe München is Germany’s oldest art and antiques fair. For almost three generations it has proved to be an international forum for lovers of great art from almost all eras. The offer has changed, like in all other art fairs, and now comprises Modern Classicas as well as Postwar Modernism. Art fairs also are, as temporary museum presentations, cultural events by which the trade fulfills its educational obligations. 38 dealers from Europe, all leading professionals in their respective fields, gather at the Kunstmesse München in the spectacular rotunda of Munich’s „Postpalast“ (Postal palace). Ancient Egypt teams up with Meissen porcelain, Madonnas of the Middle Ages with expressionist prints, and representative pieces of furniture of the baroque period with silverware. The range of the offer also mirrors the unity of all aesthetic endeavors – a very special art experience.
